Health Science Specialist - IRB Coordinator
QualificationsTo apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications: Basic Requirements:- Must have a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position
- Note: You must provide a copy of your transcripts to receive consideration
- AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position, and that is typically related to the work of the position
- Specialized experience includes serving as an Institutional Review Board Coordinator (IRB) providing a variety of support services for active Research Investigators as the primary procedural, administrative and expert resource for the (IRB)
- OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position

- OR COMBINATION OF BOTH EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience (as stated above) may be used to meet total experience requirements
- Only graduate level education in excess of 1 year may be combined with experience

- You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Compliance Inspection Project Management Research IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week
- All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates
- Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities
- Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment

- Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required
- Some work may require periods of walking, standing and bending
